Riedell Topaz set
The Topaz is the middle set in Riedell's Gem series, rated 40 for support, and Riedell pitches it at beginners and skaters starting single jumps. It's firmer than the Ruby at 30 and softer than the Crystal at 50, so it fits the stretch where basic skills turn into first jumps. Riedell's catalog lists it in B and D widths, which is worth knowing if your feet are on the narrow or wide side.
