Riedell Horizon set
The Horizon is Riedell's recreational set, a soft boot with a stainless steel Spiral blade already mounted. Riedell rates its support at 20, below the Ruby set at 30, so it suits public sessions and first lessons more than a skater who's about to start jumping. If you think you'll stay with lessons for a while, the Ruby or the Jackson Mystique cost a little more and give you a bit more boot.

Where to buy
Boots fit differently from one brand to the next, so try them on with a fitter before you order if you can. Prices move around between retailers, sizes and colors, so it's worth checking a couple of shops.
